The Cornerstone CARE Fund

What is the Cornerstone CARE Fund?

In 2004, Cornerstone Home Lending established a program called the “Cornerstone CARE Fund” that provides financial assistance to our team members if they experience a family tragedy or crippling financial setback and have no one else to turn to for aid. The Cornerstone CARE Fund is generously funded by the voluntary contributions of Cornerstone team members across the country.

Why did Cornerstone establish the Cornerstone CARE Fund?

“We help our people during personal crisis” is a key Cornerstone Core Conviction.  As such, our Leadership Team believes that Cornerstone has an important responsibility to CARE for our team members, especially during times where a tragedy, major illness or financial hardship may occur.

Cornerstone is a very special place to work because of the outstanding individuals that call Cornerstone home.  Since 1988, our team members have made countless contributions to help Cornerstone succeed and grow.  As Cornerstone continues to grow, it is important that we NEVER lose focus on the members of our Cornerstone family who have sacrificed so much for our company.

How are funds from the Cornerstone CARE Fund administered?

A special Committee comprised of Cornerstone’s Chairman & CEO, President & COO, three Division Presidents, and the Director of Human Resources oversees and administers the Cornerstone CARE Fund.  All financial assistance requests must have the approval of the requesting team member’s direct supervisor and Executive Manager prior to the Cornerstone Care Committee reviewing the request.  And, the Committee requires the unanimous consent of its Committee members prior to making a financial donation within pre-established spending limits.

Am I required to Participate?

Participation is completely optional and voluntary.  Since every member of the Cornerstone Family plays an important role in our company’s culture, we believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to participate in the funding of the Cornerstone CARE Fund. This fact alone sends a strong message to every Cornerstone team member that we truly CARE about each other, and we will be there to provide support when it is absolutely needed.

How do I sign up?

If you would like to join the hundreds of current Team Member-Donors as a fellow contributor to the Cornerstone CARE Fund, you can enroll in one of two ways:
